1.       The main points of replacing the AC Compressor:

To remove the compressor without damage and without external force, compressors with plastic pulleys:

* Avoid hitting the plastic belt pulley (with tools, contact pads)

* Damaged compressors can only be returned in their original packaging

When a new BMW AC Compressor for E66 730 is put into operation for the first time, be sure to do the following:

* Turn off heating and cooling

* Start the engine with all air outlets in the instrument panel in the "on" position 1 and keep it at a steady idle position

* Fan power should be adjusted to at least 75% of maximum fan power

* Turn on the heating and air conditioning, and run at least 2 minutes at idle speed (risk of damage at engine speed)

When the compressor fails mechanically and debris thus enters the refrigeration cycle, update the following components:

* Desiccant

* Condenser line

* Frozen oil
